The advantages of staff turnover - OliviaPodobea

Today I want to talk to you about staff turnover. It often scares a lot of companies, but few think about the benefits. So take a few minutes out of what you're doing and read on, maybe in the end you'll see the full side of the glass.

The HR side is the most demanding in a company where there is a high turnover of staff, but in order to move forward it is necessary to identify the positives of each negative and build on them. That's why we present the advantages of frequent staff changes.

  • New employees can come up with new ideas

Every company needs new ideas in order to evolve, which is why brainstorming and other activities are often organised to discover new directions for development. In order to make the most of your new staff, you can organise weekly meetings with them during the probationary period to listen to their ideas and why not make the most of them. As well as helping your development, this way you can get to know the person better and find out if they fit in with your organisational culture, and the employee will feel more useful and fit in more easily.

  • New staff are more open to change

Most of the time when you want to make a change you'll run into employee reluctance because it's more comfortable doing a job you know and getting out of your comfort zone can be a headache. Not so with newcomers to the company, as they are already in a new environment and embrace change much more easily. They don't know what it was like before and are already outside the comfort zone, so it will be much easier for you to make the desired changes within the company.

  • The cost of salaries is lower

Most of the time, a new employee will accept a much lower salary than one who is already part of your company, because the latter also weighs up the experience they already have within the organisation. Whereas the newcomer is aware that they are just starting out and before asking for a high salary, they need to demonstrate the skills and strengths they will bring to your company

  • New employees are more engaged in the work they have to do

When you join a new company as a new employee, the first thing you do is try to fit in with the team you are part of and demonstrate your skills. To be able to do this, often a new employee gets much more involved in activities and is more eager to work, and this can lead to increased productivity. Of course, in addition to the desire to demonstrate what they know, the new employee doesn't experience the routine that someone with some seniority in your company feels.

  • You can enrich your customer portfolio

If you work in sales or in any other field where you need to constantly expand your customer base, new employees can be helpful, especially if they have worked in the same field before. They can help you bring in new customers or become better known in your field.

Now that you've read all this information, do you still think that staff turnover is just a bad thing? Always to make our job easier, it's good to identify the silver lining.
