I have met people who if you ask them a direct question, to which the expected answer is yes or no, they give all the details possible about the situation they are asked about. Or they describe the context in a very detailed way.
I wondered about the mechanism behind this behaviour.
The same conclusion has always been revealed - the "expectation" that they will be rejected. I didn't say fear because it's all in their minds and as long as the physical body is not in danger, there is no fear. It's the mental pattern that only makes them imagine they would be rejected.
If I don't give all the details they won't understand why I did it. If they don't understand they will think I am incompetent, that I don't know, that I am not good enough and so on. And they will reject me.
Maybe you don't think so. But the next time you find yourself explaining the grain of sand, ask yourself: What if I didn't give all these details? What would happen? And that's where it starts...
