Do you have a morning ritual?
Tell me how you start your day so I can tell you something about your career!
Do you think there's a connection between how you start your day and your career? Let's find out together!
Working with people in coaching sessions and in other contexts, I have found that almost everyone starts their day the same way. No, the answer is not brewing coffee!
Most people start their day - and usually end it - missing something very important. You know what it might be?
A moment of reflection!
Why is the moment of reflection important?
A few minutes of reflection every morning and evening has a positive impact on your life. Without reflecting every morning and evening you will lack a certain clarity to help you make good decisions. In your career, but also in your personal life.
You don't have to drastically change your schedule. You just need to add a few minutes each day to reflect on life, happiness, sadness - what are you missing? What are you grateful for? What can you do to have a perfect day, every day? After setting up this routine you can spend even more time for morning and evening reflections. The more the better!
And, as a life coach, let me ask you a few questions. You don't have to tell me the answer, but they will help you discover a few things about yourself, your routine and your life:
- If you were to tell someone about your day and they had to write it down somewhere, how would you describe the beginning of each day of your life?
- At work, when you have to make an important decision or face a conflict, how do you act?
- What have you tried so far to be able to make healthy decisions in a relaxed manner that you feel hasn't worked?
- How did you influence the failure of those attempts?
