I'm writing to you now as well career coach because I know you'll find it helpful to have information on 2 big essential sections in a remote job resume handy.
In general, this CV is not all that different from one for a position you will be working for from your employer's premises. And yet, because you now have to prove that you're not only good at that activity, but that you're equally good at it, and if you work remotely/from home, I suggest you consider highlighting:
a. If and how long you've worked remotely, if you've worked with virtual teams in other offices, cities or countries, if you've taken any courses or certifications related to remote work. Everyone has something to write about here, including when you worked from home 2 days a week or when you were allowed to work from home either because of the weather or because you had no one to leave the kids with who were sick, etc. You can include here as experience even the situations when, although in the same office with other people, you had to work by phone, online, etc. with people from other countries, with time zone differences, or if you obtained a degree through a course online/remote.
What matters is whether you can confidently say that you were really productive and efficient. If so, then you can include that experience as telecommuting.
b. Skills are just as important as experience, or maybe even more so, especially when you don't have much experience to put on your resume.
Here we are talking about:
- oral and verbal communication skills - is requirement no. 1 of employers for remote work positions
– time management and task management, i.e. being able to manage yourself very well from these two perspectives;
- to be able to work well alone, but also in a team
- being able to not be distracted from your work, reduce distractions and have your ability to maintain your concentration
- to be well acquainted with the technology required for remote work and to be able to solve basic problems related to it yourself - if the internet goes down or something stops working on the laptop, at least have a basic idea of what you can do make you deal with the situation or have already devised a backup plan for such situations.
- experience in using digital platforms - Zoom, Google Meet, Skype, Prezi, Google Drive, etc. - and know how to prepare your own settings to use them.

If you're good at all of these, make sure you mention them on your resume. If not, I mean the technology here, start learning how to use them because they all come with a free version or free trial and then you can put them on your resume.
Remote work will remain in the practice of employers in Romania from now on, not only because they too must evolve in this direction, but also because more and more employees are asking to go this way.
