A new year, a new me
It's already 2021 and I'm sure we're all feeling motivated for the new year!
I'm sure you're already familiar with the "New year, new me" message everyone has been posting on social media since the beginning of the year. But January is already halfway over. Don't you wonder how many people are actually keeping up and working on their goals?
What about you - how have you decided to improve your habits this year? Where are you looking for productivity and motivation?
Plan vs. action
I've noticed something very interesting when it comes to new targets. Most people love to make lists - to buy trendy new planners, to design their own organizational systems, to install more productivity apps than a person could ever need. But their motivation usually stops there. Because the hardest part isn't finding ways to organize.
The hardest part is actually changing your routine so you can improve your habits.
The wheel of life
My advice to you is to set goals and also evaluate your progress.
My favorite way to do this is the Wheel of Life. I told you about the Wheel of Life back in December and I want to remind you what it's all about:
- You can draw or print the wheel, divided into 10 sections
- Each section represents an aspect of your life
- You complete each section according to your level of satisfaction with that particular aspect of your life
Ideally you can use the Wheel of Life at the beginning and end of the year. This way you will be able to see the results and what you have achieved after you have implemented your action plan for the year and taken certain actions. And you can more easily draw up a plan for next year, knowing clearly what aspects of your life need improvement.
But remember, when I say "must", I don't mean the needs and standards that society has imposed on us. I mean your real needs and desires - what you need to feel truly happy and content.
So, have you already analyzed your Wheel of Life?
