What do you think, do you know the difference between therapy and coaching?
Therapy and coaching are two words you hear everywhere lately. But few people know the difference between these two and why each can help you.
A therapist's objective is to see who the client is as an individual. In particular, what events in the client's past have transformed them into who they are now, in the present. Past events, circumstances, realities and beliefs - all of these can influence someone's current behaviour.
A therapist must rearrange and reprogram the client. Those pieces of the individual that are wounded.
Why? To help the client experience more joy and peace in life.
And why is this different from what a coach does?
A coach focuses on what is happening now, in the present.
A coach helps the client to become aware of what the future may bring.
In order to work through what is happening right now, the coach helps the client become more aware of what the future might look like. About what greatness may await him in the future.
A coach helps clients rearrange their thoughts on their own.
With the right questions and strong guidance coaching will help the client find the roots of all problems and take control of their life.
At first glance, a therapist and a coach might not seem different. But when it comes to methods and solutions, there are a lot of differences that emerge. And you have to choose what's right for you.
What would you choose - a clean past or a bright future?
