Productivity
Sometimes productivity is seen as the ultimate goal or as an even greater reward for accomplishing tasks. Everyone wants to be productive and work without taking breaks, but most of the time we see this as an impossible thing to do.
Actually, it's not that hard to be productive. The secret lies in a little (more) personal development and self-understanding.
To be productive you need to have a certain mindset. But usually, if you say to yourself "Now I'll sit at my desk and work for 1 hour without interruptions" ... you'll get bored or tired after just a few minutes. And you always wonder why you can't concentrate or why you can't work organised.
The answer is simple: forget your emotional needs.
Emotional needs
The key to productivity is focusing on your work, in addition to creating a comfortable workspace that motivates you.
But how could you concentrate on work when your body and soul need something else?
At this point, I speak from experience. Not long ago I went through a stressful situation. I was aware of the tension building up inside me: I needed rest and relaxation, but I was terribly worried that if I allowed myself to relax I wouldn't have enough time to get everything done.
Do you think you could work productively when you need rest? Me neither!
Finding the balance
Instead of pushing myself and "pulling myself up" all day, I decided to take a break. I decided to relax and slow down the volume of my thoughts so that I could fulfill my emotional needs.
It was only after that that I started working. And you won't believe how well it all went!
Next time you find yourself in a situation like this always choose to rest. Afterwards you will be much more motivated and productive and your productivity anxiety will disappear in no time!
