Objectives, wishes, solutions

Objectives, wishes, solutions

At the beginning of this year I thought as I always do that I don't set goals. I am fulfilling my desires by a certain date or solving my problems. This makes it much easier for me to connect with what I need to do.

For years I used to set goals and many of them I didn't achieve, and then I got frustrated. It was my way of setting myself up for failure and I stopped doing it. Now, as I said, I set myself up for success and that's my way of doing it.

Helpful questions

There are two questions I answer regularly to remind myself not to derail. Obviously I still derail, if I didn't, I'd be in the robot zone and I don't want that either. I do derail, but I have a system that helps me turn on my light bulbs and realize I've derailed.

It includes these two questions:

  1. What 1-3 commitments do you choose to make in the next 90 days?
  2. What are 1-3 "safety nets" or "guardrails" to help you honor your commitments, no matter what?

Questions and things for you to think about
  1. What are/were your commitments to yourself for the next 30 days? One of them was to write daily and here I have a red flag because 2 days have passed and I haven't written. And you?
  2. You know the stairs. They take us up and down, but not right or left, because they have handrails. I think of my desires or challenges I want to solve as stairs that lead me to a more fulfilling life. Everything I create professionally is about creating even more life, good life for me and mine. That's where the top is for me. The handrails are those things that I include in my schedule regardless of weather, state, situation, etc.

a. My daily routine - for over 3 years now I've started my days with what I call my ritual and I've noticed how annoyingly true it is that without it, without the clarity and focus it brings me, my days are less productive.

b. One thing a day - no more making lists to tick everything off every day. I make lists so I don't forget, to prioritize, but each day I center it around one thing that if I do I will feel fulfilled that day. And the truth is that every time I do that one thing I tick off as done and many others. But I do it with a sense of relaxation and success already installed...

Here's some help I accepted:

c. I walk every day - alone, with someone, with headphones in my ears or not, rain or wind, I go out.

d. Purpose - I choose what I include in my life not out of fear of missing opportunities, but out of a desire to keep me on my path. With the same purpose in mind I give up activities, certain people, habits. It's the filter that shows me whether I'm staying close to or moving away from my mission.

Now it's your turn.

  1. What are your commitments for the next 90 days?
  2. How do you make sure you honor your commitments, no matter what?

Sincerely,

Olivia

P.S: In March I start G.R.O.W - the audio self-coaching program. I will take you through 3 months of powerful experiences from which you will understand who your inner enemies are, how you let them stop you from what you set out to do, and how you can use them instead to achieve your goals or... like me, time-bound desires. I've sold out all the places for all the months I've done it so far.
